What We Are Grateful For This Year (Hint: It’s You!)

As my dad has said already three times today, the pumpkin pie is cooked, and the turkey is spatchcocked and dry-brined, ready to go. Whether your turkey is prepped and waiting or you are ordering takeout for the Thanksgiving holiday, the holiday season is officially here.
This week has been a mixture of constant working to get itineraries completed and proposals set up in preparation for a day off and convincing ourselves that it the work week isn't over yet. But we decided that it was important to take a moment in the week to say "Thank You".
No matter how cheesy it may be, my mom and I truly believe that travel is a gift. In our experience, it opens our eyes, connects us with people across the globe, and gives us memories that last so much longer than any item that I have ever purchased on Black Friday. But this year, as we reflect on the places we've been (mostly Disney World, haha) and the experiences we've had, there are three things that we are the most grateful for:
The excitement for a new adventure: I know that for me personally, the stress of everyday seems much easier to manage when I have a trip booked that I am looking forward to. I am headed to Vermont with my sister in February for a little "winter wonderland" cabin stay, and some days it feels like the countdown is the only thing keeping me together.
The fact that, despite the craziness, there really is kindness in the world: From the lady in Thailand who offered me her extra umbrella in the pouring rain, to the front desk guy at our Orlando hotel who snuck in a few added perks, some people remind me that little acts can keep the world feeling sunny and bright.
You, our travelers and friends: We are so incredibly grateful that you trust us with your most precious resource—your vacation time. Helping you plan your honeymoons, family reunions, solo escapes, first-time vacations, and bucket list adventures is a privilege we never take for granted.
Whether you are celebrating in a snowy cabin, on a sunny beach, at a soccer tournament, or right at home on your couch, we hope your day is filled with good food, great company, and a moment of relaxation after the craziness of 2025.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Now, go eat some pie. You deserve it.
